He refered to a situation where Personal Video Recorders (PVRs) like Tivo enables the viewer to make himself his own TVchannels populated only with the programs he really care about.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;But now I&#8217;m getting second thoughts&#8221;, he went on. &#8220;If TV-formats finds out how to tie themselves to time, they surely have a chance &#8211; like: Newsprograms have this here-and-now feeling about them &#8211; sure you can watch a newsprogram on demand, but really, often you&#8217;d want the &#8220;breaking&#8221; sensation of watching them live. TVshows engaging in simulaneous online competitions is another example of TVformats tied to time.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Wise words, clever analysis, I think!
