Last week the established newspapers &#8211; the JP\/Politiken and Berlingske\/mecom groups &#8211; also launched each their free newspapers (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.24timer.dk\/\">24timer<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.dato.dk\/\">Dato)<\/a> in an attemp to defend their positions. And neither of these two nor the other media of the &#8220;motherhouses&#8221; was particular keen to play that story down. On the contrary!<\/p>\n<p>The stories could potentially be very damaging for Nyhedsavisen, who both has to keep up the spirit among the employees in a period of starting up the newspaper &#8211; and among the advertisers, the money of which Nyhedsavisen is absolutely dependant.\u00a0And I imagine they&#8217;d been dying to air their opinions as they see them themselves. But &#8211; this far, they&#8217;d been a mediacompany without a media!<\/p>\n<p>This is why, I guess, to have a voice of their own, Nyhedsavisen today pre-launched their web-sites <a href=\"http:\/\/www.avisen.dk\">avisen.dk<\/a> as a personal blog of editor-in-chief David Trads. So far &#8211; some eight or nine hours after <a href=\"http:\/\/avisen.dk\/blogs\/david_trads\/archive\/2006\/08\/21\/Nyhedsavisen-blir-en-revolution_2100_.aspx\">the first post<\/a> was published &#8211; 7 comments are registred on the blog.
