“I use Powerpoint quite a bit, and that doesn’t seem to make me total nuts” says Trine-Maria Kristensen in her blog, commenting on Edward Tufte, a wise man claiming use of Powerpoints does affect your mental capabilites. The argument seems, it appears, to be that the bullet-point style of Powerpoint makes it very appealing never to formulate your ideas in real language, and therefore threathen to catch you in mental traps.
Trine-Maria doesn’t seem to buy the idea. I myself will – off course – claim that I am steering perfectly clear of such hazards. But I find it very likely that other people might fall short in their powerpoint-usage.
