Urban deploys feeding channel for user generated content

Danish free newspaper Urban recently implemented a free, word-press based blog-system. Want a blog – go get it at Urban.

This is great, I thought – but why exactly are the Urban guys doing this? How will they make money on offering non-ad supported, free services?

Well, perhaps I found the answer in the terms of the service. It looks like Urban is trying to pipe down in what they probably hope will develop into a huge reservoir of user generated content. Article 5 of the terms states essentially, that anything you write in your Urban-blog might be used in “present as well as future”, “electronic or printed”, Urban publications. (“Don’t want this” the terms goes on “just end your post by stating “I don’t want this post quoted” (!))
