The largest Danish publisher of music, The Music Business Organisation MBO, decided today to release 10000 tracks in a non-drm format, allowing for free transfer of music from one device to another.
Thereby also DMO follows the Apple-CEO Steve Jobs in his call to “abolish DRMs entirely”.
Copyrights off course still works for music, and to ensure that music is not “stolen” DBO introduces Watermarks to their musicfiles, making it possible to track a given file and identify who the “true owner” of the file is.
Among the artists to be released are Alphabeat and Big Fat Snake.
