Ekstrabladet today launced their “LæserBladet” (Readers Magazine) -website. The site is build on top of Ekstra Bladets web-log service, and contains edited material from the blogs, linking to the blogs for full story.
In the editing process, Ekstra Bladet apparently makes up their own headlines and introduction to the stories. Also the pictures going with the mentioning of the stories seems to be editorially picked.
The editing of the usergenerated content makes LæserBladet very ohmynews-like.
One difference between LæserBladet and ohmynews is exactly this: at ohmynews the user generated content stems from people considering themselves “citizen journalists“. At LæserBladet from people considering themselves Bloggers.
The project might turn out a great succes – or a huge faillure. It all depends on the content of the blogs. Will the LæserBladet/Ekstra Bladets bloggers create content as read-worthy as the ohmynews-citizen-journalist? Time will show!
