The FDIM real-time application that was launched this summer gives great insight to the dynamics of the market. Take this one for example – the number of estimated users hour by hour at “the three old” daily newspaper websites (data from October 1st):

During daytime jp.dk takes the lead in this hour-by-hour view. But somewhere between 16 and 17 the pattern changes, and pol.dk takes the lead. At least this was the case the 1st of October judging from the number of users. Interesting, right?

PS. For those of you not familiar with the FDIM real-time application: It’s is updated on an hourly basis, and it allows everyone to access stats for the ten largest Danish sites. And choose from daily (hour-by-hour) view, weekly (day-by-day) view or weekly (week-by-week) view. Stats are available for estimated users, visits and pageviews.
Logged in users (free for all employees at FDIM-member companies) can freely choose from the list of 248 websites and configure the system in other smart ways.
