One of the major Danish adspend-statistics just hit the streets. It compares different media-groups to each other, asking: how much money was actually spend on buying advertising on the respective mediagroups.
Not surprisingly Internet came out as by far the fastest growing media. However the magnitude of the difference to other mediagroups is striking: Danish advertisers spend 392 mio DDK equaling 52 mio € on banners and search alone – an increase by 34 percent compared to 2004 (spending on directories, classifieds and marketplaces and permission marketing is not meassured). Compare this to the growth-rate of commercial magazines (10,4 percent), newspapers (8,9 percent), TV (6,7 percent), weekly newspapers (5,2 percent) and magazines (3,8 percent)
All this according to Danish Advertisers Association (Dansk Annoncør Forening). Have a look yourself in the spreadsheet (in danish).
well that’s useful statistics.. I have been looking for those.. thanks..
